About Curt

Curt Roese is a Florida Real Estate Broker, a CPA and an entrepreneur for life!
Curt has a diversified background and an expertise in all aspects of accounting, finance, custom home building and real estate services. Prior to refocusing his business in Real Estate, Curt was a founding owner, along with his partner Jim Rahman, of Westmont Homes and Westmont Green Homes – an award winning custom home builder.
Westmont Homes won five Parade of Homes awards, including two awards for certified Green Homes built in 2008. One of these homes was for the Green Builder Media VISION House – Orlando ‘08, a showcase “Glamorous Green” custom home Westmont built and presented during the 2008 International Builder Show.
Curt earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Akron (go Zips!) and obtained his CPA license in Ohio. No longer practicing in public accounting, he has focused on real estate and custom homes, and in his usual mode of always seeking more knowledge, Curt became one of the first Realtors in the nation to earn the National Association of Realtors GREEN Designation. Committed to developing the expertise to assist clients buying and selling Green Homes, Curt has earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) Designation, issued by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the ecoBroker designation and is currently studying to become a LEED Green Associate.
Curt’s primary area of practice will be with new custom homes, green and energy efficient homes and in helping families who are facing very difficult and stressful financial issues related to their personal home and/or real estate investments they may own. Curt recently completed a 2 day seminar to earn the Certified Distressed Property Expert designation. With the most up to date knowledge, Curt can provide consultation to you and discuss the various issues surrounding short sales, lender negotiations and foreclosure.
“Making a Difference” – when Curt & Jim used this tag line for their business, they meant it. In addition to involvement in numerous community and civic organizations, Curt and Jim raised substantial money for the Leukemia Society, Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation and granted two wishes for the Central Florida Make a Wish Foundation. In raising these funds, Curt participated and completed multiple 100 mile bike rides in Lake Tahoe, Austin and in the famed Horrible Hundred held each year in Clermont, Florida.
Curt is committed to “Making a Difference” by continuing his involvement in his community as well as in focusing his energy on positive approaches to improve the world we live in, and more importantly, in the world we leave for our children and grandchildren.
Curt lives in Orlando, Florida and enjoys spending time with his family and his girlfriend Shari, and when not working, he enjoys watching football, riding his bike or learning to play guitar.
